Moisturizing Hand Wash Bar Recipe
This hand wash bar cleans the hands well without making them too dry. It produces rich lather and is gentle for everyday use.
Oils Recipe (1kg batch)
350g Coconut oil
250g Palm oil
200g Olive oil
100g Shea butter
100g Castor oil
Lye Solution
140g Sodium hydroxide (NaOH)
300g Distilled water
Additives
1 tbsp Honey
1 tbsp Aloe vera gel
1 tsp Turmeric powder (optional for glow)
15ml Lemon or Lavender fragrance oil
Method
Wear gloves and safety gear.
Mix lye into water and allow to cool.
Melt and combine oils.
Pour lye solution into oils.
Blend to light trace.
Add honey, aloe vera and fragrance.
Pour into mold.
Leave for 24–48 hours before cutting.
Cure for 4 weeks.
